Meeting on 13th April

We had a very enjoyable, interesting and amusing meeting on13th April. Our speaker was Lorraine Stanton and her talk was entitled “The sausage stuffed with TLC”. She told us about her life as a Rare Breeds Farmer and her passion for Gloucester Old Spot Pigs and their meat. She then demonstrated how to make sausages with a portable sausage-making machine, explaining as she went along about the ingredients that make a very good sausage. She finished by tying the sausages into a traditional string. Unfortunately she has had to sell the farm and her sausage making business but is still very passionate about good sausages!

A few photos from the meeting.

The Union Jack was to support her view that we should only eat British produce.

February 2017 Walk

Here are a few more photos of our walk to Cherington Lakes to see the snowdrops.

We were very excited when some of the walkers found some Scarlet Elf Cups, shown in the last photo.
